About Me

Hello!
My name is Brittany Walley, I am currently working on attaining my certification in Elementary Special Education and minoring in Psychology. My biggest hobby would be crafting in general, I love to paint, sew, quilt, design, work with wood and anything that involves Pinterest! One fun fact about myself it that I preformed at Carnegie Hall in New York City at the age of 15. It was an amazing experience and definitely one that I will never forget!

I have not really gotten the change yet to use much technology in the classroom with kids yet but I have used the typical Grand Valley technologies like the 'Elmo', powerpoint, prezi, etc. I have created a Weebly and look upward to adding tools I learn in this class to it! I have not yet planned out a lesson through a technological route.

This photo is from my Spring Break trip this year, it was taken in the Cayman Islands, one of our stops while on a Carnival Cruise.

On two separate occasions I have had the opportunity to work at Palmer Elementary school, which is apart of the Grand Rapids Public School District. I worked in one of their Kindergarten classrooms as well as in their Special Ed resource room. I loved the atmosphere of the school as well as all the staff I met. I learned a great deal of information through Palmers website about the school before visiting.

  1. Welcome. Cool that you performed at Carnegie. My brother was a jazz trumpeter for many years and his band opened for Count Basie at Carnegie Hall. Given your interest in crafts, using Pinterest for ideas in the classroom should be a no-brainer!
